Gold farming is so much easier in World of Warcraft than it used to be. TBC Gold Farming takes things to a whole new level. It’s not like people didn’t farm tons of gold before The Burning Crusade, but since the expansion hit it’s an entirely different game. Why? A number of reasons:

1. The gear differential is higher than before the expansion. You can get much better gear relative to the difficulty of the content than you could previously. It used to be that the best gear in the game was only marginally better than mediocre equipment. Plus, you couldn’t get anywhere near the best gear unless you were in a serious raiding guild. In TBC, the badge system and the arenas let everyone get their hands on end-game quality gear without having to raid at all. Of course, you can’t fill every slot with top tier armor or weapons, but some of the best items in the game can be gotten from vendors. All this makes it much easier to kill regular mobs than it used to be.

2. There are lots more ways to make gold than before The Burning Crusade. It used to be that there were only a couple ways to make gold. You could grind mobs or farm materials with a couple of the gather professions. That was just about it. Nowadays, there are many more options open to you. You can still grind on mobs, but you can also bang out heroic instances for badges which let you buy gems to sell. You can do daily quests, which yield an amazing amount of gold for their difficulty (most of them anyway). Heck, you can even make pretty good money by raiding. There are also a lot more options open to different trade skills in terms of profitability.

3. The world is a bigger place, with more people. That means more customers, more people needing help, and more people available to do quests, run instances, or raid.

These are just a few of the reasons why gold is so much easier to come by in The Burning Crusade than it used to be. In fact, there’s really no excuse to be poor. Seems like everyone I know is walking around with at least 3000 gold in their bank accounts, and I know some that have 20,000 or even more. If you are poor and have almost no gold, it’s time to kick it into gear and start building up that bank account. Luckily TBC gold farming is easier than ever and you can go from 0 to rich in no time flat.
